GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Both North Hall tennis teams stayed unbeaten in Region 8-4A play after taking 5-0 wins over Johnson on Monday.
For the boys in singles, Jack Maddox beat Angel Hernandez 6-1, 6-0; Griffin Keener held off Allen Soto 6-4, 6-4; and Alex Crocker beat Donald Tucubal 6-0, 6-2. In doubles, Luis Delgado and Brooks Dorsey defeated Brian Rivas/ Donte Gomez 6-1, 6-2 and Easton McNair and James Floyd beat Evan Delong /oscar Jimenez 6-0, 6-0 to complete the sweep.
The North Hall boys improved to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the region.
In the girls match, North Hall lost just one game in taking the sweep. Lilly Perry, Maggie Perry, and Kate Rogers all took 6-0, 6-0 wins in the singles. In the doubles, Amelia Moore and Mary Eloise Tymchuk lost just one game to Shannon Huggins and Vanesa Ortiz while Ali Moore and Braely Jarrard won 6-0, 6-0 as well.
The Lady Trojans improved to 8-1 and 4-0 in the region.
both north Hall teams will play host to East Forsyth on Thursday in another key region matchup.
