A single-car crash in Habersham County injures the driver and passenger late Monday evening.
Georgia State Patrol says the 2011 Infinity G37 driven by 80-year old William Schwarz of Atlanta was travelling along Ben Huiet Highway at the crossing of Georgia 17 at around 7:20 p.m. when it went failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a nearby tree.
Schwarz and his passenger, 82-year old Laurie Schwarz of Atlanta were taken from the scene by Habersham County Emergency Services to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville with their injuries.
GSP reports indicate Wiliam Schwarz was cited for failure to yield at a traffic control device.
