GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The Lakeview Academy girls blanked Heritage-Newnan 5-0 on Thursday at home.
The Lady Lions went up 1-0 on a Heritage own goal after a deflection from an Eden Gonzalez shot during a corner kick. Lakeview scored twice more in the first half as Kendall Mathis and Sadie Leek each found the back of the net.
Leek completed the hat trick in the second half with two more goals.
The Lakeview defense held Heritage scoreless in front of keeper Amelia Corbin, who had 5 saves on the night.
