Braselton to open expanded library

By Austin Eller News Director

The Town of Braselton is set to open its expanded library during the first week of March.

According to a press release from the Town of Braselton, the library expansion grand opening is set for 6:00 p.m. on March 5.

The library opened in 2006 on Brassie Lane in the historic downtown, and an 8,200-square-foot addition was bolstered by the Georgia General Assembly's appropriation in 2021 with the leadership of former Representative Terry England and others. The Piedmont Regional Library system also played a critical role in advocating for the project to the Georgia Library system.

“The Town appreciates the partnership we have with the state that allowed this important expansion, and we hope the state librarian and our local sponsors are pleased with the final product," Braselton Town Manager Jennifer Scott said.

“We can’t wait for everyone to see the new children’s and teens section," Library Manager Lori Hayes said. "We are excited for the opportunities to better serve our community that this affords.  With study rooms, a beautiful garden, children’s programming space and more parking, we hope everyone finds what they are looking for in Braselton.”

The library is located at 15 Brassie Lane.
