An early morning fire at Carrington Park Apartments destroyed one garage unit and damaged several passenger vehicles in Gainesville.
The Gainesville Fire Department responded at approximately 2:30 a.m. to reports of a commercial fire at 150 Carrington Park Drive, according to authorities. Multiple units arrived at the scene to find a garage unit fully involved in flames.
Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control by 3:09 a.m., officials said Tuesday.
The fire reportedly destroyed the garage unit and caused damage to multiple passenger vehicles. Personnel successfully kept the fire from spreading to any adjacent apartments.
There were no injuries reported in the incident.
Georgia Power was also called to the scene to secure utilities for the apartment structure and investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.
