JEFFERSON, Ga. — The Jefferson girls defended their Region 8-5A title in impressive style Friday night.
The Lady Dragons rolled past Eastside, 84-51, to capture the 2024 crown, using an explosive offense. Eleven different players scored, four in double figures.
Emeri Billings poured in 21 points, Skyler Brady added 14, Michel Robbins 13, and Delaney Dewitt had 11 for the Lady Dragons.
Jefferson (24-3) opened the game with a 22-9 first quarter but exploded for 33 points in the second quarter, including five 3-pointers from four different players, to take a 55-24 lead into halftime. The Lady Dragons led 68-41 heading into the fourth quarter.
