A suspect wanted in Hall County on several counts of child sexual exploitation was arrested Friday in Spalding County.
Paul Kizito, 27, was reportedly first arrested in Lula on May 3, 2022, on one count of possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material after Hall County Sheriff’s Office investigators acted on a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The investigation revealed that a pornographic image of a child had been uploaded to a Snapchat account belonging to Kizito. He was released on bond for that incident on May 5, 2022.
Since Kizito’s initial arrest, investigators uncovered an additional 66 photos and videos of child sexual abuse material in forensic analysis of two of his cell phones. An arrest warrant was issued for Kizito on Thursday for 66 counts of felony sexual exploitation of a minor, according to a release from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
As the department prepared to issue the additional charges, HCSO investigators had been following tips on Kizito’s whereabouts. Authorities with sheriff’s offices in Baldwin County, AL, Baldwin County, GA and Spalding County, GA, as well as the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, assisted with pinpointing his location. The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office was able to track Kizito to a residence in Griffin and place him in custody through those tips.
Kizito is in custody at the Spalding County Detention Center, awaiting transport to the Hall County Jail as of last report.
