DAWSONVILLE, Ga. — Nate Ibarra pitched a shutout in goal and Chestatee scored three second half goals to beat Dawson County 3-0 on Tuesday on the road.
It was the second consecutive shutout win for the Class 4A eighth-ranked War Eagles (2-0-1, 1-0 Region 8-4A).
Chestatee broke a scoreless draw at the half with goals from Jeff Zamudio, Nick Felix, and Kody Garcia.
The War Eagles will jump back into Region 8-4A play on Friday, playing host to Walnut Grove (2-0, 1-0 Region 8-4A) will a chance to at the top of the early region standings.
Dawson County (0-2) will play host to Pinecrest Academy on Thursday.

EAST FORSYTH 4
The third-ranked Vikings opened Region 8-4A play winning a shootout with the Broncos at East Hall Stadium.
It looked like it was going to be a runaway win for East Hall (2-0, 1-0 Region 8-4A) in the first half. Ainor Romero Turcios scored just two minutes in off a Junior Sesmas assist and Wilder Velasquez made it 2-0 in the 27th minute, followed by a Jonathan Torres goal two minutes later to make it 3-0.
But East Forsyth (0-2, 0-1 Region 8-4A) scored in the 30th minute to bring it to 3-1 heading into half time.
In the second half, Jairo Aldaco, Justin Torres, and Jonathan Torres all scored as the Vikings matched every Broncos score with one of their own.
East Hall next will travel to West Hall for a non-region matchup on Friday.
The Broncos are off until next Tuesday when they will play host to West Hall.
