The Hall County School Board voted for and approved the use of Modular Technologies Inc, to be the company behind the upcoming Chicopee Woods Elementary School Health Clinic.
The purchase price for modular came in at $223,589.00.
The purchase is covered by a federal grant that flows through the state and “is close to a million dollars," according to Hall County Schools Superintendent Will Schofield.
"It really gives us an opportunity to do something we wanted to do for a long time and that's being able to provide medical services for our students at school,” Schofield said.
Modular Technologies Inc. is a portable building manufacturer that is based in Kinston, North Carolina.
The Clinic expects to be up and running “before the next school year,” Schofield continued.
All employees and students will be eligible to be seen by the clinic and provided immediate medical access.
“The bottom line will be if you belong to the Hall County School District, you will get service and if you can't afford to pay, then we'll just take you,” Schofield said
