Gasoline prices throughout Georgia are slightly on the rise this week. AAA of Georgia is showing commuters statewide are paying $3.03 per gallon for unleaded gasoline, as of today (Monday, February 12).
The increase is just one cent above last week's average, but 8 cents more than one month ago in Georgia, yet remains 23 cents below the average price from one year ago, according to AAA's Montrae Waiters.
She says an increase in gas demand, refinery maintenance costs and an increase in crude oil prices may also contribute to a continued increase in prices through the weeks ahead.
Average price for unleaded gasoline in Hall County is just below the state average at $2.99 per gallon, as of today
The lowest average price in Northeast Georgia at $2.93 per gallon is in Hart County, with the highest average price in Banks County at $3.04.
Nationally, the average price for unleaded gasoline is $3.19 per gallon, up 5 cents from last week.
