Tennis: Bluff sweeps Dacula at home

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Cherokee Bluff boys and girls tennis teams swept Dacula on Monday at the Bluff Courts.

The Lady Bears did not drop a set in taking a 5-0 win while the Bluff boys took a 4-1 win over the Falcons.

For the girls Bryson Bishop, Presley Rosen, and Alyssa Baricevic took singles wins losing just two total games.

In doubles, London McDaniel and Erica Rosen took a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 while Callie Vokal and Eva Doyne got a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.

For the boys, James Rivenbark, Boston Murphy, and Jett Hewette swept the singles. Murphy outlasted David Young 6-1, 1-6, 10-3 in a third set tiebreaker at No. 2 singles.

Brady Woodward and Nick Bellew picked up a win at No. 1 doubles but the No. 2 doubles of Colin Parker and Baylor Oleksinski lost a 6-4, 6-4 match to Joseph Nguyen and Jack Gelmini.
