A Dacula man was arrested Thursday after he reportedly used a stolen credit card earlier this year to pay for his probation payment.

According to a press release from the Gwinnett County Police Department, Jaylen Savion Cline, 20, of Dacula, was charged with entering a motor vehicle and financial transaction card theft.

The investigation began on January 12, when Gwinnett County Police responded to a vehicle break-in on Ansley Brook Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville. The victim in the case had his vehicle window smashed in. His credit card and a gaming controller were both stolen from the vehicle.

"Within a few hours of the incident, multiple fraudulent charges appeared on the victim’s credit card," the press release said.

One of the charges included an online payment to a probation case management company.

Detectives eventually identified Cline as the suspect in the entering auto incident, along with the transaction card fraud case. Cline also allegedly used the victim's credit card at a local gas station and restaurant.

"On February 1, detectives, alongside officers assigned to the East Precinct Community Response Team, served a search warrant at an address linked to Jaylen Savion Cline," the release said. "Jaylen was apprehended without incident and booked into the Gwinnett County Jail."
