Hall County Government facilities to close for New Years Day

Hall County Government  announced which facilities will close in observance of New Years Day on Jan., 1, 2025. 

A release from the county said administrative offices, community centers, courts, animal shelter, libraries, recycling center and landfill, as well as the Hall County Government Family Health Center and UGA Extension Office will be closed on that day. 

Essential public safety and public works personnel will continue service as usual during the holiday, and all of Hall County’s compactor sites will operate during normal business hours.

Additionally, some offices will close early on Dec. 31, 2025, including all library and community centers, which will close at 5 p.m.

Hall County Family Health Clinic, which is utilized by Hall County Government employees, their dependents and retirees on the County’s health insurance plan, will also close at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and will not reopen until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8.  While the clinic is closed, visitors may utilize  Longstreet Urgent Care, located at 725 Jesse Jewell Parkway in Gainesville, according to a release from the county. 

 The Hall County Family Health Center Pharmacy will close for New Year’s Day only. For more information, clinic users can contact Hall County Benefits Administration at 770-297-4547 or [email protected].

The county also reminded residents that many services will still be available online, including the renewal of vehicle tags, payment of taxes and finding adoptable pets.
