Christmas on Green Street returned to Gainesville for another year of festive fun Sunday afternoon.
Thousands of residents and holiday enthusiasts lined Green Street and E.E. Butler Parkway to see floats created by local businesses and hear from several local school bands.
More than one hundred groups participated with parade floats to celebrate the decades-long tradition of meeting and greeting with family and friends, while organizers with Main Street Gainesville coordianted more than 20 events for holiday participation at homes and businesses along the parade route.
The top three best floats from the parade included first-place winner La Michocana, second-place winner Gainesville Cabinet Company and third-place winner Texas Trucks and Auto.
