The lap pool at Habersham County’s Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center will be closed for maintenance on Monday.
“Our facilities team discovered the pump was not running at max capacity this morning,” Park and Recreations Director Brooke Whitmire said. “To further troubleshoot and know exactly what is happening, they will have to pull the pump from the pool on Monday morning.”
The lap pool will remain open for regular business on Saturday.
Whitmire added that because of complications, the heater needed to be shut off so it may be “a bit cool” for some swimmers.
Swim teams have been notified, with minimal impacts to their schedules.
