GAINESVILLE, Ga. — BlazeSports America partnered with Lakeview Academy to host a wheelchair basketball game.
The Lions’ varsity basketball teams competed against the BlazeSports Atlanta Hawks wheelchair team at Lakeview on Friday.
Lakeview eighth-grader John Grimsley plays for the BlazeSports Atlanta Hawks, and head of school John Simpson said he was why the school wanted to host the event.
"We always wanted to watch him play, but his games are so far away, so we thought, let's bring it to Lakeview," Simpson said. "And we did, and I think it's just going to be an incredible tradition that we've just gotten started. It was just an amazing afternoon."
