By Will Daughtry News Reporter

Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) is now offering comprehensive OB-GYN care at its Toccoa location.

Family nurse practitioner Traci Coyne has been providing gynecologic care for the community, and she will now be joined by two other care providers.

Dr. Thomas Hatchett is a board-certified OB-GYN with nearly four decades of experience according to a press release from NGPG. He, along with certified nurse midwife Brittney Barron will join Coyne to provide OB-GYN care in Toccoa.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Toccoa community and to provide comprehensive care to our patients,” Coyne said. “As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our services to better meet the community’s needs, including offering OB care.”

Barron notably delivered the first baby at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Habersham when the hospital joined Northeast Georgia Health System last year.

Hatchett and Barron said they welcome the opportunity to expand their practice to Toccoa.

“We are very excited to continue to offer gynecological surgical services to the patients in Stephens County with surgeries performed a short drive away in Demorest,” Hatchett said. “In addition, we are proud to bring obstetrical care back to Stevens County with prenatal care in Toccoa, making this important service much more convenient.”

The new NGPG OB-GYN team is prepared to offer a wide range of services including routine gynecological exams, prenatal care, family planning, and menopause management.
