LEESBURG, Ga. – Habersham Central ended up on the wrong end of a 47-7 first round matchup against second-ranked Lee County Friday night on the road.
Lee County put up 503 yards of offense and were very balanced, going for 256 on the ground and 247 through the air.
Lee County jumped out to a 40-0 lead by halftime, but the Raider defense settled in in the second half, only allowing one more touchdown in the third quarter. Paris Wilbanks got Habersham on the board with 6:16 left in the game on an 8-yard run.
Wilbanks was 20-for-38 for 211 yards through the air, linking up with four different receivers on the night. They were led by Zeke Whittington with 77 yards on eight catches.
