ATLANTA — It was a rough season-opening game for Chestatee, falling 93-45 to Holy Innocents on the road on Thursday.
The Lady War Eagles (0-1) trailed just 39-30 at the half, but the Lady Golden Bears exploded for a 28-6 third quarter to blow open the game. Chestatee never got closer the rest of the way.
Junior Blakely Boyd paced Chestatee with 17 points. Senior Payton Cable added 12 for the Lady War Eagles.
Chestatee next will play host to Banks County on Tuesday.
