CARNESVILLE, Ga. — Boston Kersh had himself a night and was one of two players to finish with a double-double to lead the Cherokee Bluff boys basketball team past Franklin County, 76-61, on the road Monday night.

Kersh, who scored 26 points in the second half, finished the night with a game-high 30 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots. Cooper Glover also added his name to the double-double list with a 14 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists output.

But the Bears didn't truly fire the engines until the third quarter when they outscored the Lions 27-10 to take a 56-41 lead. Kersh added 15 points in the quarter, while Glover hit nine points to extend the Bears' (1-0) lead.

Connor Robinson, who finished with 18 points, all from the 3-point line, fired in nine points in the final quarter, and Kersh added 11 to leave no doubt.

Alex Blurton finished with eight points and six rebounds, Tyler Underwood had five points, six assists and three steals, and Cole Brooks netted two points and three rebounds.
