By Logan Landers Anchor/Reporter

White County Public Safety Units responded to three separate incidents on Friday, Nov. 1.

At approximately 2:37 p.m units were dispatched to a mobile home fire in the 200 block of Mossy Acres Drive in Cleveland.

The person who reported the fire stated that smoke was coming from the kitchen area of the residence.

First-arriving units reported smoke was visible from the exterior of the mobile home and no residents were inside the home at the time of the fire.

Units were able to achieve a fast knockdown and contain the fire to the kitchen area of the home.

White County EMS evaluated two individuals at the scene, but no one required transport.

Fire personnel then remained on scene to ventilate the structure, clear smoke buildup, and extinguish hotspots to prevent reignition.

Just over three hours later at approximately 5:38 p.m. units reported to an area along Unicoi Bottoms Drive in reference to a mountain rescue inside Unicoi State Park.

Initial dispatch stated that an individual had fallen while running along the trails during a cross country event taking place at the park.

Once on scene, a team of EMS and Fire personnel entered the trail and within four minutes of entering the trail, patient contact was made.

The patient was able to exit the trail and was treated and transported by White County EMS to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.

While units remained on scene at the mountain rescue, White County Dispatch received a call from a homeowner reporting a fire within the wall of their residence at approximately 6:16 p.m.

First-arriving units assisted the occupants in exiting the residence while personnel confirmed that the fire was contained to a single wall within the structure.

One lane of Asbestos Road, where the fire took place, was temporarily closed to accommodate emergency response vehicles near the scene.

Fire personnel gained access to the affected area and successfully extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
