GAINESVILLE, Ga. — North Hall’s defense held Dawson County to 135 yards of offense en route to a 35-3 win at The Brickyard on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Trojans (8-2, 7-0 Region 6-3A) racked up 433 yards of offense and rushed out to a 21-0 lead by halftime off two touchdown runs from Parker Carlton and a 34-yard run from Smith McGarvey.
McGarvey added a passing touchdown in the third quarter when he hit Cole Cable on a 23-yard pass. Carlton tacked on his third TD of the game with 2:02 left in the third on a one-yard run to extend the lead to 35-3.
Dawson County’s (4-6, 3-4 Region 6-3A) only points came from a 21-yard field goal from Jacob Felkai in the third.
McGarvey finished the night 12-of-16 for 141 yards and a TD. He added another 92 yards on the ground.
Luke Jenkins led the Trojans’ rushing attack with 12 carries for 165 yard, including a 78-yard run.
Cable caught four passes for 92 yards and a TD.
Cody McBrayer led the Tigers with 68 yards on 12 carries.
