OAKWOOD, Ga. – North Hall claimed the Region 6-3A title Friday night as they took down Johnson, 56-7.
Cole Cable had three receiving touchdowns in the first half, starting with his first less than a minute into the game when he caught a 23-yard pass from Smith McGarvey to take an 8-0 lead. He then caught a 26-yard touchdown two drives later to push the lead out to 21-0 before his final touchdown reception midway through the second quarter from 22 yards out.
Ty Kemp had a 50-yard punt return for a touchdown, while Dawson Gray caught a touchdown of his own. Luke Jenkins had a 42-yard touchdown in the first half before Justin Allen and Wyatt Tumlin each had touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Johnson's Montyrious Young got the score for the Knights early in the third quarter on a 57-yard rushing score. He finished with 110 yards on the ground on the night.
McGarvey was a perfect 9-for-9 passing for 140 yards and four scores for the Trojans.
North Hall will play host to Dawson County next week, while Johnson will wrap up their season with a matchup against White County.
