Social media posts from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office indicate that Sophia Lu has been located, is safe, and has been returned to her home today.

The Forsyth County Sherrif’s Office has asked the public for help finding Sophia Lu who was last seen Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Sherrif’s office officials said the 16-year-old texted her father that she was “running away and not coming back.”
Her father checked the home security cameras and saw Sophia leaving Sycamore Bluffs at 7:16 a.m.
Sophia was last seen wearing a brown sweatshirt, brown pajama pants and black tennis shoes. She was also seen carrying a purple lunchbox and a blue backpack.
Sophia Lu is 5 foot 1, weighs around 105 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
“Her dad said Sophia does not have many friends so he is unsure on where she would go,” officials said on Facebook.
