BUFORD, Ga. — Justin Baker ran for a touchdown and also scored on a blocked punt to help lead Buford to a 51-14 win over Dacula in Region 8-6A action on Thursday at Tom Riden Stadium.
Dayton Raiola also threw for 121 yards in just over a half of play and tossed a pair of touchdown passes to Hayden Bradley as the Wolves (6-1, 3-0 Region 8-6A) ran their win streak over the Falcons (2-5, 1-2 Region 8-6A) to six straight going back to 1995.
All of that came in the first half as Buford would take a 31-0 advantage into the break following a 24-yard field goal from Martin Poblete.
Dacula pulled within 31-14 late in the third quarter but Ethan Ervin scored on a 28-yard run to push the lead back to 38-14. Dylan McCoy added a 1 -yard touchdown run, and following a Dacula turnover, Jameee Cantrell capped the scoring with a 35-yard run 11 seconds later.
Ervin finished with 85 yards rushing on just 3 carries, McCoy had 63 yards, and Baker 59 yards, to go with his 22-yard score on the blocked punt, as the Wolves pounded out 285 yards on the ground for the game.
The Buford defense held Dacula to 176 total yards and just 67 on the ground for the game.
The Wolves will play host to Central Gwinnett next week in what is supposed to be the final regular season home game ever at Tom Riden Stadium. Buford is building a new stadium that is expected to be ready for the 2025 campaign.
They are expected to make the playoffs and could play host to at least one more home game at the iconic field this season before it is retired from service.
