FESTIVALS

Event Name: Mule Camp Market, Gainesville
Event Date & Time: Friday, October 11 – Sunday, October 13, Various Times
Event Location: Midland Greenway, Gainesville
Event Details: The Mule Camp Market by the Gainesville Jaycees will be fun for the whole family with a wide array of craft vendors, children’s activities, food vendors and a community concert. The free concert will be Saturday at 2 p.m. For details, visit www.exploregainesville.org

Event Name: Night Out on the Farm, Jaemor Farms, Alto
Event Date & Time: Friday, October 11, 7 – 10 p.m. 
Event Location: Jaemor Farms, 5340 Cornelia Hwy., Alto
Event Details: This adult-only event is perfect for a date night. Come pick a pumpkin, get lost in the corn maze and enjoy music from a live DJ. Bring your own food or grab a treat from the Eatery at Jaemor. The Eatery will serve authentic tamales with chips, salsa and a drink for $9.99. Purchase a wristband for access to the maze, hayrides, farm games, live music, and pumpkin patch. The ticket includes a jack-o-lantern size pumpkin and a cup of u-pick wildflowers. Event Name: Cumming Country Fair and Festival, Cumming

Event Location: Cumming Fairgrounds, 2021 Dahlonega Hwy., Cumming 
Event Details: Come enjoy all the rides and fair food that is part of the tradition of the Cumming Country Fair.  

Event Name: Auto Fest by Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Gainesville
Event Date & Time: Saturday, October 12, 8 a.m. 
Event Location: Hall County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters, 2859 Browns Bridge Rd., Gainesville
Event Details: Join the first-ever Hall County Sheriff’s Office Auto Fest held in the front parking lot of the HCSO Headquarters.  Entry fee is $20 per vehicle and all proceeds going to the HCSO’s Shop with a Sheriff annual event to provide Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children in the community. The event is open to the public at no charge. 

Event Name: Duluth on Tap, Duluth
Event Date & Time: Saturday, October 12, 12 – 5 p.m.
Event Location: Duluth Town Green, 3142 Hill St NW, Duluth
Event Details: Duluth on Tap is back and bringing the spirit of Oktoberfest to Downtown Duluth as the Town Green is transformed into a likely Bavarian celebration. Compete in a costume contest or one of the Oktoberfest games. This year’s Oktobervest games will include pretzel eating, beer stein holding, sausage tossing and a costume contest. Event Name: Fall Home Expo, Duluth

Event Name: Ghost Tours, Lawrenceville

Event Details: This 90-minute tour will take you to some of Lawrenceville’s most interesting places and the stories behind its most bizarre events, hauntingly told with the charm and personality of a real Southern storyteller. Event Name: Movie On the Lawn, Dawsonville

Event Location: Veterans Memorial Park, Dawsonville
Event Details: Bring your blanket or lawn chair and enjoy this free movie at the park. There will be freebies, a bounce house and the movie will be Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. Concessions will be available if you would like canned drinks, nachos, popcorn or ice cream. MUSIC EVENTS

Event Name: Live Music by Railroad Earth, Gainesville
Event Date & Time: Friday, October 11, 6 p.m.
Event Location: Boot Barn Hall, 312 Jesse Jewell Pkwy SW, Gainesville
Event Details: This is a Kickoff Concert for Mule Camp Weekend, hosted by The Gainesville Jaycees. This concert will benefit the Empty Stocking Fund, which is a charity event by the Gainesville Jaycees that raises money specifically for gifts, free food and games for over 250 children in Hall County. This bluegrass-influenced Americana band. Come dance and sing along for a good cause. Get tickets at www.bootbarnhallga.com

Event Name: Live Music by Old Crow Medicine Show, Gainesville
Event Date & Time: Friday, October 11, 8 – 11 p.m.
Event Location: Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville 
Event Details: Live music returns to the Gainesville Garden’s beautiful Ivester Amphitheater this fall, hailed by Nashville Scene as the “great commercial folk-country group of our era.” Doors open at 6:30 and the show begins at 8. THEATER PRODUCTIONS

Event Name: The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Dahlonega

Event Details: Based on Charles Dickens’ final unfinished novel, this hilarious whodunit invites the audience to solve its mystery by choosing the identity of the murderer.
