BETHLEHEM, Ga. – Lakeview Academy stuck with Bethlehem Christian all night long, but the offense couldn't find the endzone in a 17-0 loss to the Knights Friday night.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Lions got an interception midway through the second quarter, but Lakeview missed a field goal, setting up the Knights to get on the board with a 2-yard touchdown to take a 7-0 lead. On the ensuing kickoff, the Lions fumbled the ball away, allowing BCA to kick a 43-yard field goal at the buzzer to lead 10-0 at halftime.
The Lions got a second interception in the second half but had to punt the ball back to the Knights on the ensuing drive. The Lions would get the ball back and drive to the red zone before fumbling the ball away. After the defense held and forced a missed field goal, the Lions had one more opportunity, but couldn't move the ball. BCA scored with under two minutes to go to get the 17-0 final score.
Lakeview will look to bounce back next week at King's Academy.
