White County Middle School was closed Monday due to a power outage, which also impacted the board office.
Scott Justus, assistant superintendent of the White County County School System, said the outage was reported at about 6:30 a.m. The power was restored at about 8:45 a.m.
Justus said the school was primarily canceled due to concerns over the cold temperatures.
"Safety is always the number one thing," Justus said.
The middle school will be open on Tuesday.
