By Lawson Smith Anchor/Reporter
The North Georgia Community Foundation officially opened its 2024 scholarship cycle.

Eligible students will have from now until March 1 at 5 p.m. to apply for available scholarship opportunities.

NGCF currently administers 82 scholarship funds. In the 2023 Scholarship Cycle, the Foundation awarded 269 scholarships, totaling $559,400. New scholarship funds have been added in the past year, offering additional opportunities for the 2024 cycle.

“We are thankful for our scholarship fundholders who have chosen to invest in the lives of students throughout the North Georgia region,” an NGCF spokesperson said in a release. “By providing these scholarship opportunities, they are truly embodying our mission of enhancing the quality of life in our community.”

There are available scholarships for graduating high school seniors, college students, and non-traditional students.

Those interested in applying for opportunities can do so on the NGCF website. Each scholarship has different criteria and eligibility requirements.

Those interested in setting up a scholarship fund can contact the foundation online or by calling 770-535-7880 for more information.
