The Banks County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday it recently arrested a suspect in a December 2022 convenience store robbery.
The agency said Jarrid Diontae Carter, 38, of Baldwin, was arrested on January 4 and charged with the Dec. 24, 2022 robbery at the Homer Golden Pantry.
Deputies reportedly discovered that Carter had entered the convenience store by kicking through the glass of the front door. Carter then allegedly took cash from the cash register and fled the scene.
"Due to pertinent evidence left on scene and discovered through the investigation, Carter was successfully identified and arrested," Sheriff Carlton Speed said.
