The Towns County Sheriff's Office and Georgia Bureau of Investigation have launched an investigation after the discovery of human skeletal remains at a vacant home in the county.
According to a social media post from the agency, the remains were found at the vacant home in the 8000 block of Gumlog Road on Monday.
The remains have not been identified.
An autopsy will be performed at the GBI Medical Examiner's Office.
