Football: Cherokee Bluff gets into win column with 48-0 win over Chestatee

MURRAYVILLE, Ga. – The offense came alive for Cherokee Bluff Friday night in a 48-0 win over Chestatee in 8-4A action.

Connor Griffin got things going in the first quarter on a 10-yard run, followed by Conner Hulsey's 49-yard sprint that doubled the lead. Asher Wilson wanted in on the fun and found Jordan Justice for a 20-yard passing score, pushing the lead to 21-0 after the first.

Wilson got it going with his feet in the second, scoring from a yard out before a 51-yard scamper to take a 35-0 lead.

Griffin scored from five yards out in the third before the Bears added a final score in the fourth.

Hulsey led the way on the ground for the Bears, going for 147 yards on just 17 carries. Caysen Goss paced Chestatee on both sides of the ball, rushing for 30 yards while making nine tackles, three of which were for a loss.

Cherokee Bluff will host North Hall next week, while Chestatee will head to North Oconee.
