ATLANTA – Georgia Tech's Sept. 23 football game at Wake Forest will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on The CW Network stations across the nation, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday.
The game will be Georgia Tech’s first on The CW, which entered into an agreement to televise ACC football and men’s basketball games on its affiliates throughout the nation beginning this fall. The CW is available in the Atlanta market on Peachtree TV (Ch. 17). Check local listings to find The CW affiliate in your area.
Remarkably, Georgia Tech is making its first trip to Winston-Salem, N.C. to face ACC rival Wake Forest since 2010. The Yellow Jackets have won three straight in the series, including a 38-24 victory over the Demon Deacons in the last meeting between the two schools on Oct. 21, 2017, and hold a 23-8 edge in the all-time series. Although the teams have met just once in the last 12 seasons, they are slated to meet annually as designated rivals in the ACC’s new 3-5-5 scheduling format.
Before resuming ACC play at Wake, the Yellow Jackets (1-1) return to action this Saturday when they travel to No. 17/19 Ole Miss (2-0) for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff. This week’s game will be televised nationally on SEC Network.
