Gwinnett authorities searching for missing 1965 Ford Mustang in Lawrenceville

By Hamilton Keener Anchor / Reporter

The Gwinnett County Police Department announced Wednesday they are looking for a stolen vehicle in Lawrenceville.

Gwinnett officials said the 1965 Ford Mustang was picked up by a tow truck from Radcliff Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville to be transported to the victim in Louisiana.

The vehicle had many custom modifications, including:

  • The front fender and rear quarter panel wheel wells were cut out, and custom fiberglass bodywork was done to widen the wheel opening over the wide American Racing Wheels.

  • The front fender headlight openings were modified from stock round headlights to square LED Angle Eye lights.

  • The rear taillight panel was modified to hold two sets of stock three-bar taillights on each side, which are also LED.

  • The interior has “Recaro” cloth racing bucket seats with no seat belts.

  • The instrument panel was modified to a 66-style Mustang cluster with round gauges.

If you have information regarding the stolen vehicle you can contact GCPD detectives at (770) 513-5300. Those wishing to remain anonymous can Crime Stoppers here.
