By Logan Landers Anchor/Reporter

The Military, Firefighter, and Cops Motorcycle Club’s Smoky Mountain and Atlanta East Chapters are hosting the 6th Annual Charity Fundraiser and Mountain Ride at the Ridges Resort in Young Harris on Sept. 16.

This year’s beneficiaries are Deputy Patrick Neil Holtzclaw of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Operation Rally Point.

100% of the proceeds will go directly towards both of these beneficiaries.

Deputy Holtzclaw lost his wife and 2 kids in a fatal accident on July 16 on Highway 365 at Mount Zion Road in Habersham County.

Operation Rally Point is a veteran-led nonprofit 501c3 charity whose mission is to provide services to veterans in need.

The Smoky Mountain Chapter raised more than $30,000 last year in monetary contributions, food and household products to support veterans, first responders and their families.

All are welcome to enjoy food, music, plus a charity auction as well as a charity ride which will take place at the event.

To support the event, reach out to Smoky Mountain President Steven Wentworth at (321) 377-4386 or member Jennifer Fitzgerald of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 768-9643.

All monetary donations and auction related items will be accepted.

Registration will be at 9 a.m. Sept. 16 with and the ride will begin at 10:30 a.m.
