Football: East Jackson takes down Social Circle

COMMERCE, Ga. – East Jackson improved to 2-0 on the season with a 42-14 win over Social Circle Friday night at home.

The Eagles jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the first quarter before Social Circle got on the board with two field goals in the second quarter that pushed the score to 14-6 at halftime.

Social Circle tied the game up on a rushing score early in the third quarter with a two-point conversion, but East Jacson went on to run away, scoring late in the third to retake the lead before three rushing touchdowns in the fourth sealed the game.

Quay Hill led the team in rushing with 69 yards on 17 touches and a touchdown, while Drew Richardson added 59 yards rushing and two touchdowns on the ground. He threw for 105 yards on 11-of-16 passing and a touchdown to Talan Jackson.

The Eagles will play host to West Hall next week.
