Gwinnett Animal Welfare to host Clear the Shelters campaign celebration

Gwinnett Animal Welfare will offer free pet adoptions throughout the month of August as a part of the organization’s annual Clear the Shelters campaign. 
 
In honor of the campaign, the organization will host a Clear the Shelter’s celebration on August 19th from noon until 4 p.m. During the event, Guests will enjoy hands-on activities, crafts, music, local vendors, face painting and more. There will also be adoptable animals that are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, with most pets available for same-day adoption.
 
“Our hope is to find happy forever homes for the many great pets in our care,” Division Director Vernon Sawyer, said.  “We would love to literally clear our shelter.” 
 
The campaign, sponsored by NBC’s Universal, has helped over 862,000 pets find forever homes nationwide since its launch in 2015.
