Teenage victim identified in fatal Norcross shooting

The name of the teenage victim killed in a shooting Sunday evening in Norcross was released Monday afternoon.

The Gwinnett County Police Department said Andres David Buitrago Castillo, 18, of Norcross, was the victim in the case.

Castillo was found dead at about 10:45 p.m. in a parking lot on Graves Road.

The investigation into the shooting continues.

An investigation continues over a fatal shooting late Sunday night in Gwinnett County.

A release from Gwinnett County Police says their officers at the West Precinct responded to the report of a person shot along the 1300 block of Graves Road, Norcross late Sunday night. 

When officers arrived on scene in the parking lot after 10:00 p.m. they located an 18-year-old Hispanic male deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim’s name is being withheld until the next of kin has been notified.

The GCPD Homicide and Crime Scene Investigations Units have conducted their on-scene investigation and are following leads. 

This continues to be an active investigation. The motive is unclear at this time.
