Rain pushes NASCAR Cup race at Loudon to Monday

LOUDON, N.H. - With torrential rain and the threat of storms in the area all day, NASCAR has decided to push back Sunday’s scheduled NASCAR Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway to Monday.

The race will now start at noon ET Monday and will still be televised on the USA Network with radio coverage on PRN.

Defending race winner Christopher Bell will start from the pole, with Martin Truex, Jr. starting alongside on the front row. Aric Almirola will start third, with Joey Logano fourth, and Ryan Blaney fifth.

Tyler Reddick, William Byron, Bubba Wallace, Brad Keselowski, and Kyle Busch rounds out the top 10 starters.

Kevin Harvick, a four-time New Hampshire race winner, will roll off 13th on the grid in his final start at the 1.058-mile track.

Dawsonville, Georgia’s Chase Elliott will start from the 18th position on Monday.
