BERTHOUD, Colo. — Spencer Ralston shot a 1-under par 71 on Thursday in the opening round of the The Ascendant at the TPC Colorado as part of the Korn Ferry Tour.
Starting at No. 10 on the day, the Gainesville native bogeyed the Par 5 13th, his fourth hole of the round, but would make birdies on the Par 4 3rd and the Par 5 5th and closed out the round with four pars.
Ralston sits five shots behind leaders Nicholas Lindheim and Ryan McCormick, who both carded 66s on the day.
The second gets under way at 11:30a.m. Georgia time. Ralston will tee off at 3:45 p.m. looking to make the cut for the weekend.
