ATLANTA — The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly finalizing a four-year, $112 million contract extension with guard Dejounte Murray.
ESPN's Brian Windhorst was the first to report the news of the deal on Thursday, saying Murray's agent, Rich Paul, told him about the extension. He also said bonuses could increase the contract amount to $120 million.
The extension is set to run through the 2027-28 season.
In his first season with the Hawks, the 26-year-old guard averaged 20.5 points per game, 6.1 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 74 games.
Murray could have opted for free agency after the 2023-24 season.
Before Atlanta, Murray played five seasons for the San Antonio Spurs.
In other moves on Thursday, the Hawks signed second-round draft pick Seth Lundy and Miles Norris, an undrafted free agent, to two-way contracts.
Lundy, a guard/forward from Penn State, was the No. 46 overall pick in the draft. Norris, a 6-foot-10 forward, played for UC Santa Barbara from 2020-23. Norris averaged 14.1 points and 6.1 rebounds last season.
The Hawks this week previously signed their first-round pick, guard Kobe Bufkin of Michigan, the No. 15 overall pick in the draft. The team also previously signed forward Mouhamed Gueye, a second-round pick from Washington State whose draft rights were obtained in a draft-day trade with the Boston Celtics.
