As part of CB45 Day at Gainesville High School on July 22, former Gainesville star linebacker and NFL player Alexander "AJ" Johnson will host a free camp for kids ages 6 and up.

Currently playing for the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL, Johnson says the camp will teach players perseverance, teamwork, hard work and skill training. The camp is from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Gainesville High's Bruce Miller Field (practice field). To sign up for the camp, CLICK HERE.

Johnson played four years at Gainesville (2008-2011), helping lead the Red Elephants to the state championship game his senior year. He went on to become a three-time All-SEC selection at Tennessee as well as being a four-year starter, recording a second-best 425 career tackles.

During his NFL career, he has played four seasons with Denver (2018-21) and one with Seattle.

According to his website chiefbeast.com, cb45 stands for continue believing. As he says on the site, "I founded the brand, cb45, which stands for continue believing, based on ethics that I strive to live my life by on a daily basis. My passion is to help others realize the importance of believing in yourself and in God. Through competition and life, there will always be hardships, but you must keep your faith in god and in yourself. Remaining hungry and humble will allow you to continue to push yourself through the hardships and your humility will be what gets you there. With this, you can get through anything life throws at you."
