A plane diverted to Atlanta was the result of an alleged assault of a flight attendant.
WSB-TV Channel Two reports a Delta pilot landed at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport late Wednesday morning in the middle of a flight scheduled from Detroit to Fort Lauderdale.
The Atlanta-based airline said it does not tolerate threats or abuse of any kind towards its people.
A new crew boarded the plane to complete the trip without the accused passenger.
No major injuries have been reported at this time.
