One man killed in shooting at Lenora Park in Snellville

One man was killed after a shooting Thursday evening at Lenora Park in Snellville.

According to a press release from the Gwinnett County Police Department, officers responded to a medical assistance call at about 10:30 p.m. at Gwinnett County Fire Station 6 on Johnson Drive. A medical unit was requested at the fire station for a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The call came after an unknown person dropped the shooting victim, Brian Arnold-Causey, 19, of Snellville, off at the fire station, advising fire personnel that the victim had been shot. The unknown person left after dropping off Causey, who died from his injuries.

"At this time, very little is known about the victim and what took place," the press release said. "The investigation is ongoing. The Crime Scene Unit is collecting evidence, and detectives are trying to gather information."

While few details have been released, police said the initial shooting happened at Lenora Park.
