Governor Brian Kemp and several other GOP leaders are criticizing a recent comment made by former President Donald Trump about Kim Jong Un.
Trump, who again hopes to become the U-S president, praised the North Korean leader on his social media platform last Friday.
Trump congratulated Kim Jong Un for his country's appointment to the World Health Organization executive board.
GNN reports that a tweet by Governor Kemp shortly afterward said, "Taking our country back from Joe Biden does not start with congratulating North Korea's murderous dictator."
Trump's post also drew backlash from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is running for president, and former Vice President Mike Pence, who filed paperwork on Monday to enter the presidential race.
