Fatal Lawrenceville shooting victims identified

Gwinnett County Police have identified a man and woman who were killed during a shooting following a domestic incident Wednesday morning in Lawrenceville.

The man has been identified as Christopher Farranto, 52, and the woman has been identified as Mirian Farranto, 35.

Detectives responded to the domestic disturbance reports after a teenage boy called 911. Both Christopher and Mirian Farranto were dead in the driveway of the home when officers arrived.

Police said they do not believe any other suspects were involved in the shooting.

As of 10:52 a.m. Wednesday:

Gwinnett County Police are investigating after they say a man and woman were killed during a shooting following a domestic incident Wednesday morning in Lawrenceville.

According to an updated press release from the agency, officers responded at about 6 a.m. to a shooting call at a home on Woodington Circle. Arriving officers found a man and woman dead in the driveway.

The 911 call was made by a teenage boy who lives at the home. He was home with his two siblings at the time of the shooting. None of the children were harmed.

Detectives believed the shooting occurred around dawn.

The incident is believed to be domestic-related between the man and woman. Police said they do not believe any other suspects were involved in the shooting.

The names of the victims have not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The Gwinnett County Police Department said Wednesday morning they were investigating after a man and woman were found dead in Lawrenceville.

According to a release from the agency, the two people were found dead on Woodington Circle. The agency said they were investigating the case as a homicide. 

"Homicide detectives along with CSI are en route to the call," Gwinnett County Police Sgt. Michele Pihera said at about 7:30 a.m.

No other details had been released as of about 9:15 a.m.
