Four indicted for the March murder of an Athens man

Attorney General Chris Carr's office announced on Monday that Jaden Appling, Anthony Brown, X’Zydric Faust and Glendarius Tate have been formally charged for the fatal shooting of Ja'Vanni McDavid on March 5th in Athens.

The Attorney General's release said that all four men will face one count of felony murder, one count of aggravated assault, two counts on violation of the Street Gang Terrorism Act and other related charges at a later date.

Appling, Brown, Faust and Tate are alleged members of Everybody Killa, a hybrid street gang.

The release added that the case was handled by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Gang Task Force with assistance from the Attorney General’s Gang Prosecution Unit.
