The Hall County Tax Commissioner’s Office recently added a new self-service vehicle tag renewal kiosk inside the Kroger store at the Royal Lakes Marketplace in Flowery Branch.
The tag renewal machines allow citizens to instantly renew their motor vehicle tags and avoid waiting in line at the Hall County Tax Office or waiting on renewal through the mail.
The Royal Lakes kiosk, located at the Kroger at 4025 Winder Highway in Flowery Branch, is the third of its kind to serve Hall County in area Krogers. Citizens can also use the kiosks at the Kroger stores at 1931 Jesse Jewell Parkway in Gainesville, and 7380 Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch.
"We are continuing to look for ways to make it more convenient for citizens to renew their tags,” Hall County Tax Commissioner Darla Eden said. “Our second South Hall kiosk is in another highly traveled area making it convenient for many. Another advantage of the tag renewal kiosks is they are open beyond normal business hours, giving you more opportunities throughout the day to renew your tags.”
The kiosks will be open during the store's regular operating hours from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. All three machines accept credit or debit cards and charge a convenience fee of $3.95 for up to 10 renewals.
According to the Tax Commissioner’s office, there are several ways for citizens to “Save a Trip and Skip the Line” while handling motor vehicle and property tax payments.
To renew tag decals and pay property taxes, citizens can visit www.hallcountytax.org. Citizens may also mail in property tax payments and tag renewals, use the drive-up box just across from the front doors at the Government Center, or call 770-531-6950. Texting 833-602-8497 can also help citizens skip the line.
