Mind Matters: Turner discusses post-partum depression, other issues affecting women

By Newsroom

Dr. Suzanne Turner, a licensed psychologist in Gainesville specializing in helping women, discusses mental health challenges for women, including advice on how to recognize anxiety and depression before it becomes too serious.

She spent 12 years of clinical work specializing in treating women with eating disorders and anxiety. Her specialty today is reproductive psychology -- including infertility, perinatal mood disorders, child loss, parenting adjustment, and issues related to menopause.

Turner was the third guest in the Mind Matters series, airing each Wednesday in May. The series looks at community efforts to help people with mental illness get the treatment the need.

Bruner appeared on WDUN's "Newsroom" on Wednesday, May 17.
