Police seeking suspect after watch stolen from Gwinnett jewelry store

Gwinnett County police are asking the public to help them find a man they say stole a watch worth $2,000 from a jewelry store near Lawrenceville last week.

In a release, Gwinnett County Police officials said the incident happened Tuesday, May 9 at the Kay Jewelers store at Sugarloaf Mills Mall. They said a man was seen on surveillance video trying on the watch and then running out of the store without paying.

Authorities said the suspect is described as a white male with a tall, slim build and a beard. He was seen in the video wearing a white Lakers basketball jersey, a tan bucket hat, white or tan pants and gray sneakers.
